We were so excited when we came across Gardener Ranch.  It was like having our own private resort, the perfect place to spend our wedding weekend with close friends and family!  The property is an idyllic 24 acres of majestic oaks and lush meadows, on the pristine banks of the Carmel River.

It's a 15 minute drive to the coast and Carmel-by-the-Sea, drive a 10 minutes further and you're in Monterey.  And for those that want to explore more of Carmel Valley, the property is a short walk away from Carmel Valley Village with plenty of galleries, wine tasting rooms and restaurants.

Gardener Ranch will serve as "home base" the whole weekend as it's where some people are staying, where we'll hold informal events throughout the weekend and where our wedding day will take place.

The Cheese Shop - Mark and I go here every time we're in town, you can taste cheeses, wines and the staff is always friendly

Shopping - there's a ton of shopping in downtown Carmel, well known brands mixed in w/ local boutiques.  Carmel Plaza is one such shopping center.

Art - if this is what you're into there are many galleries in both Carmel and Carmel Valley.

Wine - for the wine/day drinking enthusiast there are 20 tasting rooms  w/in one mile of Carmel Valley Village and a wine walk in Carmel.

Golf - the area boasts some of the best golf courses in the country but there are deals too.
